Two things need to be set up before we can start exchanging information between VETtrak and Catapult. We need to:
- Establish the connection to the Catapult API.
- Set up the result types that will be recorded in VETtrak when results are sent from Catapult to VETtrak.
Both of these things are set up in the Catapult LMS Configuration Wizard, which is accessed by going to Utility > Configure Catapult LMS.
- Enter the web address of your Catapult LMS API.
- Enter your Catapult API consumer key.
- Enter your Catapult API consumer secret.
- Test the connection.
- When transferring new students to Catapult, the setting here determines what information from their VETtrak record will be automatically set as their username in Catapult.
- When transferring new trainers to Catapult, the setting here determines what information from their VETtrak record will be automatically set as their username in Catapult.
- Select the result that you want to appear in VETtrak when a student starts work on a unit in Catapult.
- The value set here determines what end date is allocated to units in VETtrak when they are started in Catapult.
- If you tick this box, the date calculated by the value set at (8) will not be set after the enrolment end date - the enrolment end date will be used instead. NOTE: When units are complete in Catapult, the end date supplied from Catapult will always be used, even if it is after the enrolment end date.
- Select the result that you want to appear in VETtrak when a student completes a unit in Catapult.
