VETenrol Release Notes - 4th February 2020
New Features
- Hidden referral source for Rapid Registrations.
This is a feature by request, allowing a referral source ID to be passed in the VETenrol link using the hidreferralsource parameter. The user will not see the referral source at any point during the registration, but it will be listed in Registration Details, and passed to VETtrak. Hidden Referral Source works with and without the Shopping Cart extension. - Report: Referral Sources.
For those utilising Hidden Referral Sources, a new report is available to list referral source IDs. - Web Enrol ID link in Registration Details. This link will attempt to match a manually processed Web Enrolment with an enrolment in VETtrak and, if successful, will update the registration details with the Enrolment ID.
Updates
- Discount codes will not be included in the registration process if the price is already zero.
- Send to VTDocs button hidden on Registration Details unless VTDocs integration settings have been completed.
- Third party script inclusions extended to apply to Rapid process, Course Enquiry page. (Scripts added by request, providing script meets VETtrak security standards)
- Mobile phone number masking for Rapid Registrations.
- Mobile/Email masking can now be disabled via Site Settings.
- *CLASSESTABLE* placeholder for default confirmation and mail template receipts now allows some customisation. Changes to the default are applied by request.
- Registration Details attachment on RTO notification emails (for those with SMTP servers set up only), now includes Registration ID and Page X of Y on each page.
Bug Fixes
- Admin view of LLNs on registrations previously displayed as plain text and showed any html tags included in the question making reading difficult. The html now renders showing the question as it was intended to be viewed.
- Viewing Registration Details for Abandoned registrations sometimes failed.
- Parent/Guardian Workflow - Registration Details displayed acceptance & signature date of the parent for all acceptances & signatures.
- Rapid Registration Date of Birth date picker year list was limited to only 10 years in the past.
- AVETMISS question "In which year did you complete that school level" continued to display * indicating mandatory, when the question had been set to optional with setting "Disable forced collection of Year Completed".
- Clear button for signature pad wasn't working.
- Rapid registrations without a Date of Birth will no longer show the Parent Signature box.
VETenrol Release Notes - 26th February 2020
New Features
- Payment Methods for Rapid Registrations.
The Rapid Registration Payment Preferences are available via Payment Settings in the Admin.- Pay in person allows payment to be deferred in favour of an in-person over the counter payment.
- Allow Invoice Me Payment Option allows the Invoice Me payment method to be used for Rapid Registrations.
- Notes for Rapid Registrations.
Allows the user to provide notes on their registration. The feature can be enabled via Rapid Registration Settings where the heading for the field can also be set, eg. Dietary Requirements. If a heading label is not specified the default (Notes) will be used. - Show/Hide Classes List for Rapid Registrations.
This option is enabled by default but can be changed via Rapid Registration Settings.
Updates
- Discounts - Single/limited use codes.
A new discount type allows for the creation of discount codes that can only be used a limited number of times before expiring. When the Discounts feature is enabled via Payment Settings, codes can be used during the standard or rapid registration process. - RTO Notification - Registration Details attachment includes Company Name in the header.
- Performance optimisations for Rapid Registrations.
Bug Fixes
- Standard registration process
- Unsupported variables in URL will no longer result in an error message, rather they'll be ignored.
- Google Maps API issue fixed where a valid key was entered in the Admin but VETenrol wasn't displaying the Location field to users for the API to be utilised.
- Bug fixed where validation for "In which year did you complete that school level" indicates the field is required but user selected "Did not go to school" as their highest completed school level.
- Rapid registration process
- Courses Page now correctly sorts by Date/Time.
- Issue with discounts not working as been resolved.

- Registration page export 404 error fixed.
- Fixed a display issue with Citizenship when viewing Registration Details of a rapid registration.

Updates
- Data Completions
Checkboxes have been changed to drop-down lists for AVETMISS collection. - Custom Forms
Drop-down menus now have a blank option as the first item by default, which will not count as having answered the question if it is mandatory.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved issues with cross-site cookies preventing VETenrol from loading in an iFrame for a number of browsers.
- OccuDate listed in Registrations for rapid registrations always 1/01/0001 now correctly displays the real occurrence date.

New Features
- Registration Details
There are some minor additions based on registrations where something out of the ordinary has occurred.- A new Merchant Response link for registrations with a Payment Status of Pending Payment can be used to attempt to fetch a response from the provider.

New options for the Details step under Mandatory Registration Steps to remove phone number fields from the registration process.- Hide Home Number entry

- Site Settings
- Add Student To option has been updated to show the applicable classes for occurrences based on the selection. As such, the occurrence class list will show all classes, only the next future class, or all future classes.
- Delivery Mode setting has been renamed and reworked to retrieve the primary delivery mode from VETtrak to display for the occurrence. This was formerly Delivery Type and retrieved from the old 2017 VETtrak setting.
- Registration Settings
The Collect External Debtor Code option has been renamed to Collect External Code, to match the corresponding field in VETtrak. - Programme Summary
The Auto column has been added to show which occurrences are set to be auto-processed. - Discounts
Help text has been added to the Admin page. - Rapid Registrations
If the Rapid Registration Setting for T&Cs is left blank, the accept checkbox will no longer be shown to users.
Bug Fixes
- Editor not loading content on the first click, and fix for a bug in Microsoft Edge.
- File upload limit per step of 4mb extended to 10mb.
- Mail attachment limit of 4mb extended to 10mb.
- Error Notification for Invalid OccuID incorrectly displaying html.
- Returning participant error when retrieving client details for a client with a different PO address to their residential address, but where the State was not specified for the PO address.
- Occurrences with an Employer set during the Optional details stage of the wizard will pre-tick and prefill the Employer Step during registration with that employer's details, however, if the Employer record in VETtrak either had a Building Name and/or did not have a street number, VETenrol would prefill the street name into both the Street Name and Street Number fields.
- The issue with data completion emails for participants nominated in a group booking all are sent the same enrolment ID.
- Further measures to assist with cross-site cookie security are being adopted by various browsers. A warning will now be provided to the user if VETenrol cannot be displayed and offer them the option of opening the iframe content in a new tab. This issue is a result of increased browser security preventing cross-site cookies, which are security measures that are likely to be adopted by all browsers in the near future if they haven't already done so.
