Result Unit and Award Preferences

You can access Result Unit and Award Preferences by choosing File > Global Preferences.

Select Result Unit and Award Preferences from the Preference items list. The Standard tab will already be chosen:

The preferences are:

 

Check for unit pre-requisites when enrolling

If enabled, this preference will check the client has completed the pre-requisites when enrolling in unit(s).

The check occurs when finishing the Enrolment Wizard.

Unit pre-requisites must be set in the Qualification Manager.

 

Check subordinate pre-requisites

This preference becomes available only if Check for unit pre-requisites when enrolling is enabled. This will perform the additional step of checking that pre-requisites with their own pre-requisites are also complete.

 

Allow recording of percentages in results

This preference will allow percentages to be recorded in the Enrolment Result Wizard and Bulk Enrolment Result Wizard.

 

Show delivery strategy when recording results

This preference will allow selection of the Delivery Strategy in the Enrolment Result Wizard and Bulk Enrolment Result Wizard.

 

Automatic element results after unit result

When enabled, this will apply a result recorded at the unit/module level to the element/learning outcome level too.

 

Allow recording of element results

If enabled, element level results will be able to be entered by right-clicking their parent unit in the Client Manager.

 

Use points in enrolments

This will enable points when adding enrolments.

Points can be set in the Qualification Manager.

 

Recalculate pricing for units with a claimed date

This option will enable you to recalculate unit pricing after a unit has been claimed. If it unticked, when recalculating the pricing for an enrolment units that have already been claimed will not be recalculated.

 

Only link completed units when creating awards

This preference will pre-select only completed units for use in the Award Wizard.

The checkboxes in the Use column can still be manually ticked or unticked.

 

 

Update end date of enrolments linked to awards to the date completed

This preference will automatically update the Enrolment End Date when a Certificate award is created for it. The Date Completed will be used.

 

 

When adding awards in an occurrence, show a status note

This option will add validation when adding awards to Occurrence Enrolments, displaying a note for people who either:

  • Already have an award in the Qualification
  • Already have an award in that specific occurrence
