Task statuses is used for setting the status of a task. Each task status must correspond to a status type of Active, Completed or Cancelled.
Open the Configuration Manager by choosing Manage > Configuration from the menu. The Configuration Manager displays an alphabetically ordered explorer tree.

Adding a new task status
- Right-click Task statuses and choose Add new task status.
This will open the Task Status Wizard:
- Enter a Name for the task status.
- Enter a Code for the task status.
- Select the Status type to which the new task status corresponds.
- Select a Report Colour - This is a method to colour code a particular task status type within a custom report request, for example - denoting Green as a Completed level status type.
- This task status is inactive indicates if the task status should be archived. If ticked, the task status will be added/moved to the Archived task statuses branch.
- Available in the Trainer Portal determines if the status should be accessible to trainers from the Trainer Portal.
- Optionally, provide a Description for the task status.
- Click Next and then Finish.
Editing an existing task status
- Expand Task statuses.
- Right-click the task status and choose Edit task status.
This will open the Task Status Wizard, where you can make changes.
Deleting a task status
- Expand Task statuses.
- Right-click the task status and choose Delete task status.
- Click Yes when asked to confirm the delete.
If an error occurs, the task status has likely been used previously and is included in historical data. In this case, you will need to archive the code to remove it from active use.
Viewing the task status report
This report details all the task statuses, including those that have been archived.
- Right-click Task statuses and choose Show task status report.
The report will be displayed in a new tab/window.
