Booking Steps

Booking steps are used to identify steps in your internal administrative process for Bookings. These are displayed in the Booking Manager and when adding or editing a Booking.

Booking Steps can be configured by navigating to Manage > Configuration.


And selecting the Booking Steps node.


Adding a new Booking Step

To add a new Booking Step; proceed to right-click Booking Steps and select Add Booking Step from the menu items presented.


This will then open the Booking Step Wizard as shown below:

From here you will be able to perform the following:

  • Assign a Name for the Booking Step.
  • Create a Shortcode or "Heading" to distinguish this step within the Booking Manager.
  • Set the Order of the Booking Step; this will order each step in a numerically ascending order (With 1 being the first Booking Step presented).
  • Remove this Booking Step from active use by checking the Do not make this Booking Step available for use checkbox (This will move this booking step to the Archived Booking Steps node).
  • Optionally Provide a Description for administrative reference if the Booking Steps purpose is unclear.


 Note

If there is no Distinct order assigned to any of the Booking Steps present within the Booking Manager; they will automatically be ordered alphabetically.


To finalise these changes click Next and then Finish.

 

Editing an existing Booking Step

To edit an Existing Booking Step proceed to expand the Booking Steps node.

Now proceed to right-click the Booking Step you wish to modify and choose Edit Booking Step from the menu items present.


This will open the Booking Step Wizard as seen when creating a Booking Step, where you can make changes as required.

 

Deleting a Booking Step

To remove a Booking Step entirely; expand the Booking Steps node; right-click the Booking Step you wish to remove and select Delete Booking Step from the menu items presented.


Proceed to click Yes when asked to confirm the deletion of the selected Booking Step.


 Note

If an error occurs, the step has likely been used previously and is included in historical data. In this case, you will need to archive the step to remove it from active use.

 

Viewing the Booking Step Report


The Booking Steps Report is a Standard Report designed to display a quick reference of all Booking Steps (Active and Inactive) and display these for Export and reference purposes.


To view the Booking Step Report; proceed to right-click Booking Steps and choose Show Booking Step Report.


The report will be displayed in a new tab/window with each Booking Step visible as so:
