Personal is a category of Registration Steps, which is accessed from the Configuration (
) page in the VETenrol Admin.
These settings apply to the Personal step, which is the first step of the standard registration process.

This button commits any changes to the settings. It appears to the right of the navigation area and at the bottom of the page. Saving will keep changes to settings made across tabs.

The options in this section are:

Toggle this option to show or hide the Title field.

Include Returning Participant feature
Toggle this option to enable or disable the student login feature. By logging in, a user’s details are retrieved from VETtrak pre-filling the registration where details are available.

Allow "Easy" returning participant
Toggle this option to allow the entry of a participant ID in place of User name and Password. The 'Enable Returning Participant feature' setting must be enabled to use this option.

This option is less secure, please consider security and privacy risks before choosing to enable this feature.
Allow password reset using Student Portal
Toggle this option to include a forgotten password link in the Returning Participant section. User must enter their name and date of birth at the Personal step for matching and their client record in VETtrak must have a valid email address. The 'Enable Returning Participant feature' setting must be enabled to use this option.
Feature requires VETtrak version 22.1+
VETtrak must have the correct Student Portal URL in Global Preferences and a staff member/email address to send user-initiated password reset emails via Security Settings.
Collect External Debtor Code
Toggle this option to show or hide the External Code section. If enabled, the code collected here will be stored in VETtrak's external code field.

Note
The default text for heading, description and label shown in the screenshots above can be overridden by request. Changes apply to the account as a global setting and cannot be adjusted per programme, etc.
Personal Information Notice
This section controls the text displayed at the Personal step beneath the Personal Information heading.
- Type plain text or html directly into the field.
- Alternatively, click
to open the Editor, where text can be entered and formatted, then click Apply and the resulting html will be inserted into the field. Click Save to commit the changes.
