Creating a Volume Discount
To create a discount:
- Click the New button to open the Volume Discount pop-up.
- Enter the Lower Limit. This is the lowest number of places the user must book to get the discount, for example: 3.
- Enter the Upper Limit. This is the highest number of places the user can book to get this discount. This value might be a smaller number, like 5, if a better discount will apply for booking more places, or it might represent the maximum number of participants a trainer can teach at one time, such as 15, if it is the only active discount.
- Choose the Type of discount. The field for the value will be labelled accordingly.
- Percentage Off — the value is the percentage by which the price will be discounted.
- Amount Off — the value is a set dollar amount deducted from the price.
- New Amount — applies the value as the new total price.
- Choose the option for Applies to to identify if the discount is valid when entered for all programmes, or only for specific programmes.
- Click Save.
The new discount will be added to the list. To add more volume discounts, repeat the above steps.
Setting the Applies To value for a Volume Discount
Bookings will be discounted automatically based on the indicated number of places and as determined by the Applies To value for the volume discount:
- All programmes — the discount will be applied for any booking, providing the range requirement is met.
- Selected programmes — the booking must meet the range requirement and be for one of a pre-approved list of programmes and/or occurrences as set in the Admin.
The applies to setting for a volume discount can be changed at any time.

- Choose the Selected Programmes Only (or Any Programme) option for Applies To from the Volume Discount popup.
