Version History for Custom Forms

Version History is available for both active and archived forms when managing Custom Forms, where the number of available versions for the form are displayed. The version history allows previous versions of a form to be edited and previewed.

Manage custom forms by choosing Tools () and then Custom Forms from the menu, or via the Manage link on the Configuration () page.

Once the page to manage Custom Forms is open:

  • Click the Versions column link for the form ( and a number).

This will open the form's Version History.

The page has the following features:

  • Back button — navigates back to manage Custom Forms.
  • The list of forms.
    The first form in the list is always the current form.
    • Form Name link — click the link ( name) to edit the form. This will open the Form Editor.
    •  preview — view the form un-branded in a new tab. The form will be functional but will not submit.

 

Restoring a previous form version

A previous version of a form in the version history can be restored to be the current version.

To do this:

  • Click the link ( name) of the form version to edit that form.

When the Form Editor is open:

  • Optionally, adjust the Status. Forms chosen from the Version History will have a the Draft status selected, regardless of the status from when the version record was created.
  • Optionally, make changes to the form in its present state.
  • Click the Save form button.

The newly saved form will replace the current version.
